I did! It was a 2001 Acura CLS! Paid $25,998 plus tax, title, and license. It included the NAV, spoiler, and mud guards. It had 12,800 miles on the car and after doing a Carfax found that it was leased and someone probably broke the lease. It was the best car purchase transaction ever. Bought the car on the spot and the paperwork process was a breeze. I would highly recommend them once you find which car you want and at what price, since CarMax 's prices are not negotiable.

 

My friend bought a used 99 Mitsubishi 3000GT, he hasnt had any problems just yet. He has had it for about 5 months. ALthough the car did have some paint chips on the hood, but there was very low mileage on it and also I think it was a dealer's car.

A buddy of mine used to work at a Carmax. IMO, the advantage with buying a used car from them is that they're a Brand name dealership/big chain with pretty good warranty service (from what I hear) after the sale. I almost bought a 98 SC400 from them until the Sales Manager wouldn't let me have Lemonbusters check it. I suggest using Carfax to check the car's history, but also having an independent mechanic inspect the car before you buy it. Of course, this may involve taking the car off the lot to do it. My 2 cents.

I have a good friend who bought 2 cars there....a 99 Civic and a 98 Windstar. Both had remaining factory warranties and both have been great. So 2 more positive experiences from Circuit City-they own Carmax you know.

Bought a Camry back in '95 from the Charlotte store. Zero problems, great shape, financing in 5 minutes. Maybe not the absolute cheapest place, but I loved it .

 

whats your story. be honest! i know thay pay your ur meals/home/car whatever but do you recommend them as friend(imagine i am)?

I would definitly recommend it. It's a nice place to buy a car. I'm a sales associate at the Laurel Carmax. And it's our job to show you just how different from traditional dealerships we are. :P
