Anyone else having this problem?

My car seems very jumpy sometimes, like when I floor it sometimes, it doesn't pick up smoothly, it feels as if I am pulling off the gas and then giving it gas again repeatedly. This happens very quickly and then everything returns to normal, but really annoys me. And this morning on my way to work, I was about to switch lanes and floor it to pass someone, when right before I made the switch my RPMs dropped dramatically without me letting off the gas. It felt as if the car would've turned off if I hadn't floored it to pass the car. Also, my brakes feel much looser and sloppier than before, very unsmooth. It sometime feels like if something is lose in the braking system, hard to describe. I then try to replicate this, but can't, it just happens sometimes when I start the car up after a couple hours and drive off.

This same thing happens to me whenever I start the car after it has sat for a few hours.

It lasts for a good 10-15 minutes... then it losens up... no matter the temperature.

Very annoying.

Any idea what the hell it is? I don't think we should to have a new car warm up before driving off, especially since I live in Miami where it's usually hot as hell.

No idea.

At least our car doesnt stall like the 2000-2001 TL's.

But yea.. I have no clue why this happens... but it irritates the fuck outta me.

It takes like 2-3 seconds for each shift during this waking up period.

Maybe I'm just paranoid and over-reacting after reading some of the posts on here, but I haven't noticed it doing this up until about the last week or so. Or maybe she's asking for a CAI, headers, and a Comptech exhaust, since mine is still stock. Regardless, I think I'll have my next oil change at the dealer and have them check everything out.

I guess what you are having is normal,

It is just when you floor it in D5 it needs time to downshift for you. It will cut off the gas, downshift that you feel the jumpy thing, right ?

I guess that's normal.

However, I have another problem that I have now, grear shifting from 1>2 in D5 at very low rpm ~2k rpm is jittery, CLS feels as if stalling and then recover.

Well if we're having problems, imagine the problems others will have when thinking about installing superchargers and NOS. Say bye-bye to your tranny.

Thats what were talking about...

When you start the car after it sits for a few hours.

It takes like 3 seconds for it to up shift from 1->2 and 2->3.

And it takes even longer to down shift.

I posted this problem long time ago, and I remember we came to a conclusion that this is caused by the torque converter locking and then unlocking...
