Anyone considered getting a car cover?
Should start off by saying I've checked the stickies, and the FAQs, and searched, found nothing.
I'm getting sick to death of going out to my car and seeing muddy paw prints on my car (I guess a cat is climbing all over it...) so I was thinking of getting a car cover. Anyone know what kinds I should look for? Good brands, good kinds of material I should look for? Are the $300+ car covers worth it?

In your case overnight should be ok as long as it is not windy.

I was thinking of getting one...
I have some moisture issues at the moment and was trying to see if it were valuable to have the cover.
And I think it would...but wrapping up the cover and storing it everyday could be a problem for me because I feel I get lazy!

If you use a car cover while the car is outside in the wind, it will do more damage than good. The car cover will rub on the piant in the wind. I think car covers are good for long term out of wind storage.

It says it's safe on the finish, but costs $300+...

I considered it when I had to park previous cars outside. Downside is that it takes several minutes to put it on and get it off each time. Not something you wanna have to do every day and night. Rubbing isn't a huge issue. As long as the cover is pulled tight it won't rub much in the wind. Even if it does, it's just soft fabric so it'll just buff the car. Just have to make sure the car isn't dirty so it's not buffing dirt into the pain.

i used a car cover for a year or so while i was living in an apartment. you should purchase a nice custom fit wolf car cover. they have a nice evolution fabric that is very soft on the inside yet very durable and protects the car. usually cost around $150. just make sure to lock it up as i had the first one stolen, even with a lock.
