Anyone check out the new header designed by prototype racing?

I had read a thread on the web about Prototype Racing and their headers months back and was blown away by the design, as they are equal length racing headers for the Honda V6 and showed gains on the dyno of over 10 HP in some areas of the band over the COMPTECH'S! They look like true racing headers and possibly offer the best performance yet for the V6, whereas the Comptech's carb legal design is a bit more restrictive. They couldn't afford to make them though.
I guess the design was sold to OPAK Racing and there is a group buy as I write, available through Accord V6.
The list price will be $750.00, the group buy price is not set yet.
I've committed to buy a set and was wondering if anyone has seen or heard about these yet.

yea they are an equal length design, gain power mid-range but lose power up top.

The power gain on top is minimal by comparson.
The power gains down low are much more meaningful.
Does that mean anyone with Comptech's should buy em, depends.

It is taking to much time to produce and I do not know why it is like 6 months and those who were waiting for the GB did not have it yet...

As for racing they may not be that beneficial... 1/4 mile test passes showed that the comptech outperformed the PR headers... Day to Day driving ... maybe..there is a bit more gain.

Where did you see any 1/4 mile comparison, I'd like to see that.

Really, that's interesting. They may help more with the Supercharger.
If I can get a set, they seem to be better for hopefully around $600.00 than the OBX's.
No offense to OBX users but the 1800 RPM resonance I've been hearing about worries me and I don't want to spend $1,000.00 or more for the Comptech's.

If interested, go to Accord V6 homepage and look for link on right margin which mentions OPAK racing header group buy.
I think www.prototyperacing.com is the place where the header design is explained and compared to the Comptech.

The design looks like it may better anything else out there, so I'm torn right now. I cancelled my OBX order from a few days ago, so who knows, the Stone headers may still be a good option.
Check out the link above, the prototype looks awesome and they do a ton of R&D on Honda engines.

This guy admits he had traction problems with the prototype headers, which may because of more torque.

The Stone are probably a better option than the OBXs for the price. Some people may not like the resonance of the OBXs so seeing how the performance is the same the stones will be quieter.

Does anyone besides Comptech make Headers for our 6 speeds? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

I don't know about that. Mine moo around 2,000 and 3,000 sometimes, although not like the OBX on blackmagiCL_S' ride.
