Anyone change their hood cable?

I'm going to change the cable to pop the hood. The latch is giving problems. Anyone ever change this? Anything I should know before hand?, tips?

I had to have mine replaced because of the wreck. The body shop man said it was a pain in the ass to run.

The cable? you sure it's just not the latch? It is adjustable.

no, the cable is messed up. i also had a buddy who's a tech at honda check it and he also said i should change the cable. he said it's pretty common on hondas especially after winter b/c salt and dirt get into the part where the cable attaches to the latch and causes corrosion
