Looking for temporary protection for front of car for 450 mile highway trip. Flying out this week to buy a 6 speed out of state and drive it back home to Austin. The car is supposed to be in mint condition, no rock chips and I'd like to keep it that way, at least for the first day i own it!
I do not have a nosebra. I guess I could try to buy one at the dealer in the town I'm going to, but they may not have one and I hate to pay dealer prices! Guess I'll try to call there and see.
or maybe a generic one from a car parts store there?

Would some kind of tape, or wax, or plastic, or that material new cars have to protect them work? where do you get it?
Any other ideas?

Anyone in Austin want to rent me your bra? Are they heavy to carry on a plane!?

'03 CLS 6 speed-got it in Charlotte.

Also did some serious talking to the dealer in KC about a silver 6 speed that he had. There was one in Denver but the guy there was a moron.

Black/black, no nav, stock except for a K&N filter. Got Kumho 711's that so far seem ok. Looking at Toyo TPTs when the time comes.

Why not have it shipped? If you go with an enclosed trailer that would prevent the rock chips on the front end, and other stuff that might give you some havok?

The bra might protect you from rock chips on the front end, but what about the windshield??

I don't know how much that would cost you, but think about what you would save on the mileage, etc.??

Well cost mainly, I have to go look at it before I hand over the cash anyway (personal seller), so might as well drive it back. 450 miles, about 78-8 hr drive.
I got the local dealer to drop his price on the bra. I hate how they pad the prices OVER suggested retail, but I have no time to buy on the net cheaper.
