Any way to keep seatbelt tight??

Hi gang,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to make my seatbelt stay locked snug on me for when I drive more aggresively. I want it to keep me firmly in my seat without sliding around. In my old car, I was able to pull the belt all the way out and it would click(ratchet style) back into a snug position that would only loosen when unbuckled. I tried this with the CL and it would not work. I searched for threads on this and came up empty.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hunter

p.s. Hope you all have a great weekend!

I have the the opposite problem. Play with the seat position. My current seat position the belt tends to lock when I move forward to open the glove box. or move forward slightly. I hate it! If I move the seat around a little it won't lock.

There is a device you can clamp on the to keep it tight-autocrossers use it. Check around at some of the accessory shops where they hang out or check the magazines.

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like the car does not do it on its own....I really liked that feature on my last car. It was similar to when you pull the seatbelt all the way out and it lockes back in for a child seat in other seats in the car.

I will ask the dealer next week in case no one knows a way to do it here other than the clamp idea.

Thanks again and have a good weekend!

There's no way to do what your want in the CLS. I had 3 of them. Clamp & playing with the seat or modding the retractor in some way is about it.

Doesnt it do with the passanger seats? At least on my TL when you pull the passanger seatbelts all the way out it locks. (I think but not sure because I have never sat in the passanger seats)

Thanks Zippee and Fuzzy, et al.

I give in, I wish Acura would have made the drive seat able to lock the seatbelt in tight. I really miss it when I have on baggy or bulky cloths as I feel like I slide around in my chair.

SO if I have to get a clamp, where do I find one that will work on the CL for daily driving, but with some lead foot..
