Anyone know if they're any way any lsd diffs will work in a auto trans or would it have to be a one off piece ?

None. All Honda autos were open diff, to my knowledge.

I could of sworn my 02 cl-p used to leave two nice black marks on the street. Are you guys 100% sure it has a open diff?

An open diff will occasionally lock up and spin both wheels in the right conditions. I was able to do a burnout in my moms old '04 Accord V6 (I was actually quite proud of it at the time ) and both wheels spun. But when I released the handbrake, about 20 feet down the road only one wheel was getting power.

The same thing with my friends 240.

That's weird. I thought with a open diff it will not apply power two both wheels under any circumstance. I had a mustang in the past that had a open diff and it always did a one wheel peel until I swapped it out. Maybe hondas are different.

As others have said, under certain conditions it will. When a car is driving straight down the road, both drive wheels are spinning at the same speed. The input pinion is turning the ring gear and cage, and none of the pinions within the cage are rotating -- both side gears are effectively locked to the cage.

Open diffs will do that when both wheels are off the ground. My SHO did that until I put the Qualife in it (ATB Helical LSD).

Wish Qualife made a manual diff for our cars. Best diffs available. Includes a lifetime warranty that covered even racing. "I have 250k miles on this diff and threw 2500ft-lbs tq at it. It blew and started operating as an open diff." We're sorry about that sir. Here's a brand new one.
