Got an oil change yest and they put 10w-30 in my Type-S. I dont know much about the velocity and weight of the oil and their purpose so can or will there be any harm done?

I'm in tx so it may actually help cos of the heat?

no problem, considering you are in TX and it's almost summer.

but the last time i was in San Antonio last year, it got pretty damn cold over the winter (some flurries!...the Texans were panicking!)

In Southern heat 5W-30 is like watter. U did hamper performance by losing like 1hp but u prolonged the life of the engine.
