Any Advice on Mods

Hi guys, its time for me to upgrade some things on my 2001 CL-S. Want to juice up the HP, have capability to lower the car during the summer months and put it back to normal height during the winters. The fogs on the car have the simple 5 watt, which i f replaced with a more powerful bulb, I don't want to melt the glass. Any input will be appreciated since this is my project, which I would like to complete by the summer.

The car is currently all stock, so please use your creativity and let me know what I can do.

Welcome aboard

My suggestion to you is to do a search. There is a ton of information already on here regarding all of the mods and what they do to the car. You can also check out the Extremely Useful Topics forum as well as just doing a search on keywords like CAI, Intakes, Tires, Rims, Headers, Exhaust, Springs, etc.

Trust me... doing that will get you better answers b/c some of the replies in here may be flames since you didn't search.

Another thing to check out is the Acura-CL.com FAQ. TONS of information in there as well.....

For hp you have the comptech supercharger, headers(comptech or obx), intake(comptech, aem, injen), ur pulleys, and some others. For suspension if you want coilovers id say the tein ss with edfc. For shocks there is (koni/neupeed, koni, tokico etc.). For springs(comptech. eibach, neuspeed, etc.) Would definately recommend a good set of summer tires when the time comes.

For bulbs you might want to check out some eaglites over at www.midnightmoose.com there should be some stuff there although the CLS and TLS fogs are different.

As far as power and handling go Brian has pretty much said it all.

thanks guys... looking into the comtech headers... was wondering which intake is better aem or comptech. Will be getting this done first. Waiting for the spring to do the coilovers, shocks, etc. Also is I get the supercharger would it be harsh on the engine??

For intakes, the aem is cheaper, is louder, has a little less gains than comptech, and is more showy in the engine bay. The comptech icebox is more expensive, has better gains, is more quiet(stock like), and is black plastic(looks stock too). So it matters what you want. I dont think the supercharger will be harse since its running at 4-5 psi. You could also get it installed and waranteed at certain dealerships if you are that worried about it. Would ask someone with a supercharger if you want more info.
