Time for me to get some '03 Headlights and inserts while they are replacing the bumper cover...

The question is how does this shit work with the insurance???
I have to have the car brought to a shop to be torn apart and checked for any additional damage, but I want the check sent to me not the shop and want to order the parts myself and hopefully use the additional money to repaint the entire car instead of just one side.

Does anyone know if I can have the check sent to me like they did the last time I got hit???
I guess what I am asking, is how can I have the car checked at a shop and then still get the check directly from the insurance company? Will I have to have the car towed home from the shop in between or am I screwed?

The shop is my choice and if they want to make me have it fixed by a shop, I will be sending it to Acura and I'll demand for all Acura parts like it was when in pre-accident condition...

Any help (if this makes sence) would be greatly appreciated!
