It was about 9:30pm, last Saturday night, when I was driving home from dinner. As I was cruising about 45mph, this brand new Volvo S70 comes flying up behind me, cuts over, and flies past me at about 60mph. Naturally, I dumped into SS, tapped down into 3rd gear, and dropped the pedal allowing my 'BABY' to open up and say "AHHH!" (and oohwee, she sounds nice). Of course, I caught up to it and HAD to make the pass. Needless to say, he wasn't too happy. Fortunately, the light ahead of us was red. Now comes the fun part...

We were side by side at the line. I looked over at him, he looked at me, and we gave the 'thumbs up'. The light turned green and off we went.

1st gear, we were side by side. 2nd gear, I slowly begin pulling away. 3rd gear, FORGET ABOUT IT! I was out! All he saw was ACURA getting smaller and smaller as I pulled further and further away. By now, I have no clue how fast we were going because I was focused on my tach, but everything around was a huge blur! And of course, I'm sitting there telling myself "Why do they even try?!?"

I gotta tell you, that made my night!!

YEAH~! I agree with you, why bother if you only have a non-turbo S70 or perhaps just the low pressure model. I am sure if he was to drive a T5 with 5 speed (and of course, know how to drive a stick), last night wouldn't be so fun for you.
I wonder when they are going to come out a manual tranny for the CL-S, it sure would be nice to add to this car.
