Another "new" coupe gets the axe...
I just heard on the CBS evening news that as of model year 05 or 06, the new Thunderbird is getting the axe.
I am not suprised, as I live just northwest of O'Hare airport and it is pretty heavily populated here, and I usually see at least five or so new body style CLs every day. But I think I have seen a total of maybe 10 Thunderbirds in the two or so years it has been out.
I have no opinion of the T-bird, good or bad, although I would not buy one for any reason.
I hope Ford avoids future embarassment, and does not try to ressurect the name again. At one point, it was a great American car.
