Another CL-S v. G35

Race from 25-115 on an open road, no cars. Both of us 6MT, pulled even the whole way with maybe a nose over him, the guy backed down when we hit 115, gave him a thumbs up and we went our seperate ways.

Nice, what mods do you have?

Did the G35 have any?

It looked bone stock. Me, just a AEM CAI (the guy gave me a look when he heard my engine start to roar after VTEC, I sorta laughed when I saw his face), full suspension setup (like it matters), and some balls that drag along.

Nice run and from a roll and I would think relatively close (although surprised you pulled a little). Nice kill.

My guess is the Coupe... CAI on the Type S 6MT would surely be pulling on the sedan. I was in my friend's G35 sedan last night... I would not trade my car for it. Great suspension though. Feels tight, but it's still smooth.

Ah, that is one of the only reasons that I don't like having the CT Icebox...it sounds stock. Sometimes you love the subtle thing (like my headers don't make enough noise?) but sometime you love that CAI scream!!!!

what about the Injen CAI wheeeze when you start it? I personally like my wheezin CAI! ~caresses intake slowly~....AND THEN when you hit the A/C button it sounds like some topsecret air/gas is flowing through your pipes. . . hahaha!

A six speed cls even with cai will be hard press to beat a 6mt g35 sedan was at the tracks last week and saw couple of g35 sedans stock running 14.1s at trapping at 100mph a auto g35 sedan is close to a six speed cls though. In my six speed CLS I have ran against auto g35s and it is freaking close

An auto g35 will run mid 14s stock. On a freeway romp, a lot of G35 auto owners have kept up with the 6-speeds due to good freeway gearing and average driver ability of the 6-speeds. However, you get a good 6-speed driver in either the CLS or the G35 and I don't think it'll be too close on a roll. The auto G35 probably kept up with you by launching more aggressively.
