Ok I've only had mine since end of August. Haven't noticed an issue being able to see around the piller or mirrors. Drive a pickup most of the time, so maybe I'm used to big pillars and mirrors. Kinda irritated with the radio volume control, but steering wheel control works just fine. I doesnt seem like the mode selector on climate control does very good at moving air from floor to vents to dash (defrost). Probably needs something lubed or adjusted. I dont think the steering wheel contol butons light up very well at night. (I have the same bitch with my wifes '08 TL) Car is a blast to drive and I only drive it on nice days on the weekend or to go golf, so most of these issues are mere annoyances.

The only complaint I have is the turning radius...

I don't use any radio controls on the steering wheel, so if they're jacked up, I won't know about it...

Inspect and/or change the cabin filter.

The only thing, ATM, I'm not liking is the driverside seat belt retractor spring is weak/worn and does not return normally.

Uuuuh, even lowered I can make a u-turn in a 3 lane road with no problems. No need to potentially wreck my car and tires by using the e-brake.

You're saying that using the ebrake to slide your car doesn't scrub the tires a bit and put a side load not intended on the rear suspension? Got it.

Regular maintenance is not an issue for me. However, little things constantly breaking are. Such as all the dash/console/button lights or whatever you want to call them. Currently, my radio, heat/AC, cruise control, mirrors, hazard, and god knows what else (can't know what isn't working as they never have since I bought the car) are not lighting up whatsoever. Only things that do light are instrument cluster (thank god), heated seat, and memory seat currently light up.

Gotta agree with Weez. There's no reason to use the e-brake other then it's intended purposes on this car.

I always assumed that was a design defect since mine did it since it was new. No issues with my racing harness tho.

Center console/cup holders suck on auto. Manual has great cup holders.

I had sight issues from driver side mirror. A small cf mirror fixed that.

Turning radius sucks. Was fine for auto-x tho so dsnt bother me.

Stock brakes suck and no rear bbk available.

Trunk springs are retarded and clunk over bumps. They also rip the metal bracket off. No room in trunk to mount struts.

Our clutch is the only year to have sensor on flywheel.

Auto tranny is defective.

Axles could be stronger and better protected from corrosion.

No aftermarket support

Stock seats do not go low enough. Fat people can't fit through door opening to get in back seat.

This car is prone to rust.

Moonroof dsnt open enough. No option to not get the moonroof.

Rear view mirror is defective and can damage interior.

Not a fan of the damper on clutch or slave check valve.

Dash deforms over time.

Rattles from dash and third brake light(not big deal)

Ends of wipers don't contact windshield.

Wheel hop issues.

That is all I can think of now off the top of my head.

lol, it may be. Its retraction ability slowed about 24 months into ownership for me and, even though it is annoying, it has not progressively become worse ever since.
I have brought it to the attention of a few service advisors over the years to try and get it replaced via the life time warranty on the restraint system. Basically, they tell me that it still retracts, and until it literally siezes up, no replacement.
I just purchased a new one and I will be doing the replacement myself with the help of the Helms manual, so we'll see.

Ahh the retracting mechanism on mine has always worked. I was thinking more of how it gets caught on the seat and in the door jam.

Than why mod the car for performance , It's a luxury coupe . Grab the ebrake and have some fun . Slide the tires and make a scene . Otherwise get into a prius .
