I can get this cheaper than normal from a friend. Are these any good? Same as K&N? I don't want to spend $200 on a CAI system right now. Any input would be appreciated.

I put one in my mini van,, replaced the k/n,, it seems to be exactly like the k/n but it has a foam
cover over the top,,, the lab test comparing the two shows the Amsoil filters particles better.

I haven't found a 12 in cone for my CAI so I still use k/n.....

NOTE I have a Amsoil dealer card,, the above filter af1122 is a HASTING filter,, Amsoil doesn't make a replacement for us,,, AF1122 is $11.30 wholesale $15.50 retail

I have a k/n drop in with 4k miles on it,, $20 plus shipping,,

 

What is a HASTINGS filter? A $15 paper filter?

This is the same as the dealer OEM filter. Paper. Only difference is, it's costs less then going to the dealer.

 

Yes it's just like a OEM,,, I started with the K/N replacement and later switch to a X (xciefer-sp-) CAI, there is one for sale in the blackmarket section,,,. Much improvement over the drop in. I now am nearing 50k miles and bought a set of headers,, I am trying to get better mpg's,, tired of giving all my money to Exon..
