That Benz sounded like a fuking Jet taking off, it was sweet! I had no idea that they were that fast, I thought that the AMG Mods would weigh it down, but then again I guess at 469+hp, it really doesn't matter how much the car weighs!!

a well driven bone stock cobra can do 12.5s.. but on the avg driver high 12s 12.7 12.8 12.9s at about 110 mph..

 

E55 starts at about 75k but you probably can't get one for less than 85k! add a few options and its 80k plus dealer markup!

You all keep talking about the Benz noise. It's the Mustang Cobra that makes that high pitched whine. It's really loud. The Benz has little to no supercharger whine which I think is a good thing. I've heard a E55 take off in person. Nice sound but little hint of SC whine

 

It doesn't whine at all, but good lord the rumble of that supercharged V8 emitting is sick!! I saw one the other day, and two guys test driving it..

more power u put into a stang the more margin for error, not the case w/ the benz though, prolly pretty easy to launch

 

 

E55 is BBBBBAAAAAADDDDDD!!!! The only issue Jesus has to face while racing that SVT Cobra is whether to sip on a Grande Caramel Machiatto or White Chocolate Mocha while wasting that SVT.

I don't mean to sound degrading, but are you serious? The $35,000 Cobra was neck-and-neck with the $76,000 AMG. Can't compete my ass.

ANYWAY, the difference is paying $76G for an AMG is common and somewhat acceptable. (It is an AMG for goodness sakes.) But paying ANYTHING above $30G for a Mustang (SVT or not) is flatout silly!!

yea the benz cost twice as much, its a 4 door 5 seater, u can fit your whole fam in there, and plus its not a ford

even if the americans wanted to i dont think they can come up w/ a car that will be more popular or outsell the e55/rs6/m5 class of cars

 

I'll agree with you on the global popularity of that Germanic trio but they're not going to outsell any american cars for the simple reason that the E55, RS6 and M5 are limited production.

What alot of domestic folks dont realize is that the M5, E55 and RS6 are as popular in Europe and Japan as they are here in the US. The same cant be said of the SVT Cobra and Corvette Z06; in Europe the like of SVT Cobras are slammed for not being refined and in Japan, they'd be knocked for their lack of quality.

Cars that are MADE in America have problems in general. Think about the CL for instance. I love my car, but my 90 camry has had less problems. Bad enough they make japanese cars in America. Why would you go out of your way to buy piss poor American car quality: Ford, GM.
