There was an E55 at the circuit the other day. That supercharger just screams on the straits! Such a nice sound.

 

03 E55 does 1/4mi ~12.5sec while the stock 03 Cobra does ~12.9sec according to MT.

going on numbers alone, I'd say there is no way the 03 cobra would have pulled on the e55. I'm talking stock of course.

Actually the E55 is faster then the RS6 stock vs stock. And as easy as you can chip a RS6 you can add a chip/pulley to the E55. A lot of posts say that the rated 469hp of the E55 is false and they actually dyno the same as the SL55, CL55 and S55 at the 490+ hp, the 469 figure was a marketing attempt to try and not kill the sales of the S,CL and SL55's

 

hmm really? cause I know thet exhaust system is different on the E55 amg vs. SL55,CL55 and S55 which is a longer car...

all have simalar 0~60 times that are 4.7 and 4.6 for both cars

 

I just read an article in Motor Trend I think or Car and Driver, that had the E55 vs RS6 and the E55 beat it in all straight line performance, got clocked at 4.2seconds in 0-60 and I think 12.3 or 12.4 1/4 @ 113-114
