Alphawerk headers:Small??

Still in the box, but the piping looks real small. Is that right? Whats the piping size?
Its hard to belive they make that much hp. I was expecting a lil bigger for a V6

Never heard of the piping sizing being a problem. Watch out for that fitment though...

yeah it's normal. I'ts not the size of the piping that gains the power is the same length piping from the 3 headers to the downpipe that gains the power. It helps keep the exhaust "pulses" from colliding.

Don't install it unless you are 100% sure there is no Fitment problem
Otherwise, you will just waste more money

Do these headers really give the same results/hp with its more costly comptechs?

And that is true i won't find out if it does have fitment issues till i try it. I'll do the install myself

With alphawerks headers, it is really easy to see the fitment problem even you don't know anything about car.

when i had mine a long while ago they worked perfectly. no fitment issues whatsoever

i switched over to comptech too because I thought they would be better made/provide better results, but the same power was to be had with either one

yeah i have the alphawerks... the only fitment issue i had were the holes that mount to the engine bolts... they were too small so i had to drill out the holes on the header a little more... other than that i love em

Also, check the gaps between your engine and headers too

return those headers!!

I had the same issue with my headers from AW. The flanges were all warped. Luckily I was able to return them to Excelerate who gave me a refund (in full-thanks Excelerate).

With flanges warped like that there will surely be exhaust leaks sooner or later. If you haven't already installed them try to get your money back. AlphaWerks has become absolute crap now. There are several other people here who have the same header defect as you and they're all pissed, I don't blame them.

Nexus Industry's response to this has been disgraceful at best. Their customer service is one of the worst I have ever seen and their headers are junk. This has blown over since most of the folks here received their defective headers from Nexus but I hate to see people are still getting ripped off by this. I don't mean to drag this out but people need to be warned about this product. This company should be put out of business for the way they tried to pass a junk header on to the public. Good luck with this.

Do you know how hot the exhaust gas could be?

Those crappy washers/gaskets cannot seal the gaps forever.

Trust us, go for comptech headers, it is worth the money.

Don't waste your time on AW junk

and don't try your luck with it

AW customer service is the worst

You should try to return those and get at least some of your money back. It doesn't look like you tried to install them yet.

Add another person to the every-growing list of people who have been ripped off by Nexus/AlphaWerks. What a piece-of-shit-company. Carlos, you SUCK!

Thumbs down

Still got the junk sitting in the garage. fuck! $500 down the drain. Nexus are assholes! wish I'd be in Miami or wherever they're so I could throw the damn headers through their fucking windows. Carlos had his manager or whoever the hell it was email me to tell me that they can't do anything about it. Funny thing the emails were coming from the same address just with different signature. Anyone filed BBB yet ?? are they now registered with BBB as fuckups ?

If you still remember me, I am one of the victims.

Filing BBB is useless because we even don't know their real company name.

One final advise, use virtual Credit card number to pay for all online orders.
MBNA, Discover and citi also offer it.
