PDX3.2TL dyno his stock TL this weekend and was just as lean as i was. your also wrong about water temperture determining AFR. it doesn't, the only thing it determines is timing.
and yes, i have read every unichip thread. that is what led me to call jack.
Well then one of two things happened here:

1) Jack lied to me. or...
2) He has learned new information since I last talked to him. I haven't talked to him in about a month or more because I haven't needed to, the D map was a perfect match for my car and it feels great.

He distinctly told me water temperature has a direct relation on the AFR of the car. He also told me the mugen cooling mods may cause a change in the AFR, and he ALSO said that they performed a test in which they lied to the car and told it that it was running hotter\colder than it really was, and the AFR changed.

So unless he has performed tests that prove otherwise in the last month and a half, I still believe the information he told me.

Correction, you and PDX are the only CLS's I have ever seen that have dynoed 13.0 on base mapping. Go check any other CLS dyno with AFR charts on base mapping and I'll be they are between 11.0 and 12.0 .. with the exception of darrinb who I know had like a 12.4.

I would call Jack at unichip to verify if you are lying or not, but ....... I DONT CARE! because my chip works, so there is no reason for me to bother him and his staff anymore. I called them enough.

One other question. Why are you working with Jack? If your dynoing at 13.0 STOCK, then you don't need a chip. You can't possibly change the AFR to gain any more power. The people that showed the most gains from the chip are the ones that dynoed at 11.0 stock. those who dynoed 12.0 stock such as mrsteve (I'm pretty sure) did not show as much of a gain as say, Mattg .. regardless, there was gain, but if your already at 13.0, you would definately be wasting your 600$
