The CL's and Mustangs need a showdown. now we are coming up with a date and the guys over at stangnet are down for the race over in englishtown. I know i will be there and if anyone else actually wants to race against mustang, be there. This is to let everyone know and i will be posting the date when we get it. Lets kick some rustang ass.

 

I don't know if I would run as I'm not really too modified plus I have a stereo and 18's.. but I'd be interested to come and watch.... Let me know the date and time!!

I think both "sides" will be surprised one way or another... so I'd like to see this!!

When is this happening, any dates yet? Only 3-4 guys are talking about this over on stangnet.......is this for real......or is just a CLS gathering? The last 2 times I've been out at the track, there have been only 3, maybe 4 CLS' there each time........so why now would all CLS owners decide to show at the track, where you guys stand less of a chance beating a Stang than on the street???

 

 

i see there's a lot of confidence on this board...well i'm trying to get more than 3 or 4 cl's, hopefully up to like 8 or 9 vs some stangs, but if nobody goes and then fuck it i'll go solo i really dont care. I wanna end this stupid online fighting

no seriously, I think it will be fun, I think we should post this opportunity on stangnet to let them know we are talking about it too...I know they have a regional forum for the east coast and one for the northeast too

I'm going to be there, name the date and the time and I'm blocking out my schedule...just don't do it the weekend of the 11th, I know a lot of guys from MD on stangnet go to capitol raceway (i think that is what it is called) my guess is it is near DC...

we're gettin more people then comin up with a date, any time after oct. 13th is good for me. I'm completely prepping the car before i go, i plan on losing to some but i plan on beating others.

 

Not to flame, but the stupid online fighting is about how the CLS' are regularly beating up on the stangs on the street, not the track.......but at the track, I've seen VERY few (maybe 2) CLS' running faster than any of the stangs. At the track, I don't see those odds changing this time either. Maybe on the street the CLS can take stock or near stock stangs, but unless all the fastest CLS' have been saving themselves for this event, I don't see it happening this time either. I mentioned it to some of my buddies on the ECS board, we'll see what type of showing we can all muster up. My rear end is shot, and I'm running on street tires right now, so now's the chance for all you 12-13 second CLS' to whoop up on little old me. ..........we'll see if I (or juniorbean) can get my a$$ down there.

 

well this'll eb nice to see... I do'nt know about CLS winning... theere's not many mods for us and EVERYTHING For them... all types of blowers and headers and crazy stuff... we've got headers and UR pulleys that are the only real good mod that you don't have to sell your leg for (even though you might have to sell part of your leg for those headers) some intake, exhaust (no full catbacks even) and I think that's it... oh and about CLSs winning on the streets that's not always stock for stock... with a few mods GTs hit 13s (seen it on the track) and with every mod in the world I've only seen CLSs hit low 14s... I think we're gonna hear a lot of whiners saying "well if I had the CT supercharger I'd kick your butt!" ... and blah blah blah blah blah... you know the wrap... I just hope whatever the outcome that people don't get their panties in a wad and start making excuses like that fool on the Z28 VS CL3.0 ZEXed video... good luck and don't hit the wall... remember to keep going straight

I don't see alot of takers on the Stang boards....I don't think anyone thinks it's a challenge enough to make the trip just for this. I think you'd get more interest if we can all just meet up during one of the other races, even the next import/domestic shootout (doesn't look like many takers on this board either - obviously for other reasons). Most of us Stang guys want to go race real competition like GNs, Chevelles, Camaros & Vettes. Not flaming ...I'm being serious.
