? For all manual/stick drivers

I seem to not be doing something right maybe you guys can help. Here is my problem. I have a CL-S and had an integra before and i had the same problem. It seems that my clutch pedal looses pressure at times and it changes the engagement point where the gear catches. Because of this it causes me to almost stall "sometimes" if i do not recognize it. I checked my fluids and they are good. I will be flushing out fluids soon to see if that helps again i had the same issue w/ my teg. I changed fluids in the teg and still had same problem. Am I doing something wrong possibly? The gears do not grind or slip however it seems like the threshold for engagement point seems to be getting shorter and leading me to believe clutch will go sooner rather than later. Please help!!!!

Sounds like your clutch is slipping. How many miles are on that clutch?

75k orig. clutch....i searched team-integra.net and on that forum someone had the same issue and they said it might be the master cylinder.

It could be the master cylinder, but at that many miles it could also be the clutch and there's a higher probability that it is the clutch and not the master cylinder.

It all depends on how you drive your car and how well you shift, but most people average between 80-100K on their clutches, some much less.

I think on my GS-R I went about 80K and had to get the clutch changed on it but I also drove that car very hard because it was so much fun to drive.

My CL-S on the other hand I got 150K miles on the first clutch before it needed replacing.

One thing to note:

If you do in the end need to get your clutch replaced and IF your flywheel needs replacing as well, opt to have them install the OEM Type-R flywheel instead.

I did that on my car and it made a world of difference in shifting and the price difference between my GS-R flywheel and Type-R flywheel wasn't much (at that time)

Sorry man, I have no knowledge of the inner workings of the clutch assembly.

One thing to suggest, for about $25 and some labor, you could swap your standard clutch line for a stainless steel line for improved clutch response.

quite a few guys have done it lately and have reported good results from it. Do a search for it and you'll see.

if you do that search you will also find info about how to bleed the clutch system from when people installed the stainless steel line.

No idea where you'd pick it up at a local store. I think most ordered through the internet

Here's some quick links I found for you

The part # is HNC-011, the part is listed for an accord, but others say it works for our CL

You do realize that the tranny lubricant (fluid) on a manual has nothing to do with the clutch or how it engages? Unless you're talking about the hydraulic fuid in the clutch line. The clutch is dry. Changing the tranny lube might make the gears shift a little smoother, but will have zero effect on clutch engagement. Also the clutch line fluid is not subject to heat degradation the way brake fluid is, so rarely needs to be changed. So long as you have fluid in the clutch master cylinder that shouldn't be the cause. More likely cause is the clutch cylinder itself or the clutch..
