I searched at least 7 pages deep for "TL lip kit" and nothing came up. I dont know any of the names of people that have these kits on their CL, but I would like to see pics. Can people post up pics or tell me the names of some people on here who have it done? Preferebly SSM because that is what I have, but other colors will work too.

I am in the process of getting a body kit! I was thinking about the TL kit on my CL, but I hear it needs to be custom molded in its place to fit the CL.

I wonder how much extra that will cost, on top of the paint you will have to pay for and installation.

 

I guess I'll be the first to respond and say I have it.

 

The TL kit doesn't "have to" be custom molded. You can modify it how you want. Come to think of it, ANY body kit can be custom for your car if you're willing to dump the $$ to make it fit. Just make sure you take it to a body shop that does good work.

Ya I just called my main paint/body shop and they have never done one before and dont really do "custom" work. grrrr

 

I guess you will have to go with another option for a kit?

I am thinking about the Ron Jon 2nd Gen Kit.

Some others are in my mind also.

That's a nice one but you would be a fool to buy it with a salvaged title and no tranny warranty.

 

i wouldn't buy it, i was just using it as an example of a CL w/ TL kit on it

 

He actually used part of the TL front bumper for his. You'll notice the fogs are the TL units. He cut the bumper off at the line that runs across the bumper and had the TL bottom put on. He made a thread at one point, don't remember when though.

 

i was going to say that brian is the only foo on here that i know of having that kit. idk, there's something about that kit that makes the lines of the car make it somewhat appear to have wide-body kit.

-I've seen pics of one on a SSM CL posted in the black market before.
-There was an ABP CL-S that was probably one of the first. His car is the one on www.c-c-c.net for the TL kit.
-jdmcl had just the front lip on his car with the versus sides and rear
-withoutcomp has the TL front molded and the versus sides and rear molded to his CL. Its also painted a burnt copper color.

Those are all that I can remember.
