Acura of Memphis charged me $35.00 for a new air filter. Usually treat me great; can't believe they would charge that much. Couldn't find an aftermarket for the Type S except on the net. I thought they were about $22.00. Anyone find an aftermarket at a parts store other than the net? May take it back and get the one on the net.

 

You can get a K&N or Comptech filter which allows your car to breath a little better (any maybe gain an HP or 2) for around $42.....

 

On my last service the charge was:
17220-PGE-A00 ELEMENT, AIR CLEANER 22.80

 

Purolator says they have a filter for our cars; #A25451. Should be easy to find at any decent auto parts place.

 

Yes, CO-CL-S, that's the number of the air filter Acura of Memphis sold me for $35.00. Boy that's some spicy markup!! The parts guy even explained that the filter was heavy duty and oil impregnated. Just like yours, though, and $12.20 more profit.
