Aiming headlights...

My passenger headlight is way off from the other. It shies up in the trees and power lines (I can see it through the sun roof). I searched, but I got two different answers since there are two different things you can adjust. The 10mm bold near the high beam socket, or there is a gear under the plastic cover close to the fender. I'm just looking for a straightforward answer on which one I need to adjust and which way to turn it. Thanks in advance.

Open the hood, look straight down. Near the High beam (like you said) there is a round "thing" with teeth on it.

Stick a Phillips screwdriver in there and turn it left or right. The phillips head will fit right in those teeth and turn them. This will move your headlight UP and DOWN. Set it as you like while facing your car about 8-10 feet from a wall.

I'm guessing the other screw you are talking about adjusts the light left to right, like on most cars.

I just did this the other day. Very easy. And easily reversible. (although you really cant mess anything up)

Also, I would also check the actual bulb and make sure it is seated properly. Shining into the trees is a bit extreme and leads me to believe that your bulb is not sitting properly in the socket and is way off.

Thanks for the tip. I read that the directions on that plastic cover are backwards so that should help me out some.

I just remember that one is plastic and one is metal, you want to adjust the metal one.

and yes you are able to turn it with a screwdriver or a 10mm wrench
