Ok, here's what happened. I Was drving home from a club on sat night, around 4am, combination of alkie and fatigue was the culprit, I closed my eyes for one second and next thing i see/hear is a curb, by then it was too late to react, I slammed into the curb and get launched in the air, i think my tire was ripped when the car came back down, nothing else was damaged besides the wheel and tire, I guess it's an excuse to get new rims. Come to think of it, it could have been alot worse, just remember not to get behind the wheel if are the least bit tired.

ma brotha...i kno exactly how u felt...ill tell u my story...i was racing my friend in his i30...and i got way aheaded and i was being cocky so i slowed down to about 60 (remember dis is a regular road...so da speed limit is 40)....and he came chargin up at about 70...and i downshifted bak into second (i was surprised it let me but i had a little bit of room left)...and damn i was past him in no time...so i was doin bout 120 at dis time..and i was like ummm i think i gotta slow da fuck down...so i braked and der was some bad curves dat were comin...and my car fishtailed and i went fishtailing so i tried to hold on but my car went ova da median (i was in da far left) and i had to dodge a light pole so i quickly checked out da oncoming traffic (cuz my car was angled and der was no way i could gain good control and swing it bak into da regular lane) so i swerved it and i spun out and my tire went flying and my otha tire (both in da front) went inward and i jus saw sparks....damn worse experience i had....

Absolutely, never drive if your even a tad bit tired.......a friend of mine died in a car accident due to falling asleep behind the wheel- he was at a late meeting from work (ended around 1:30am).

Well, investigators basically concluded that he fell asleep, layed on the gas pedal....accelerated up to approx 80mph before driving off the road- hit a tree and flipped the car.

At the wake, makeup does just so much- it looked like someone beat his head in with a bat (black and blue everywhere).

Scary shit and very depressing...be careful.

Glad your ok.

I got my car fixed today, got 2 new tires, the one rim was only slightly bent, so a felt a tiny vibration when driving at higher speeds, other that the car feels good again. I'm gonna buy aftermarket rims anyway and keep the stocks as winter wheels, so I'm not too worried bout the scratches.

Yea Mark,... alignment is in order.

Like I told you before... you are LUCKY... had you fallen asleep on the beltway... this might be a different story.

You did handle it a lot better than I thought... when I got over to your place.. I expected you to either be mad cussing and yelling.. or on the ground crying!!! But all will be fixed soon... so dont worry!!! and now you have an excuse to buy new wheels

Nashua, I already got it realigned yesterday when i got the tires replaced, turns out only the toe was knocked off, the camber and caster were fine alignment is reset now, the only thing that is causing the vibration is that one rim in the picture got slightly bent, so it wobbles a little bit,I'm gonna get wheel fixed so I can have a good wheel for the winter.

Any good winter tires for our stock rims.. had a lot of trouble finding a good 215/50/17 with 921-93 load rating.

Your side wall shredded up too??? I'd be careful guys I got a flat tire and my exterior side wall was gone when I pulled over. So if you get a flat pull over immediately so you dont end up like the Explorers

And exactly how long did you have your CL before "dis bad experience" happen to you, bro?

We've all done some stupid shit, and most of us have been lucky enough to get away with it. Some not so lucky. At my geezerly age, I've calmed down a lot from my Z-car days 25 years ago. (Driving 4-door Legend sedans will do that to you.) But now with my CL-S, I can get the 'ol adrenaline rush that I used to.

Do yourselves and everyone else a favor: Just be careful out there...

When I get back to TN I'll take some pics of my car after it got hit. I promise they will make anybody with a Silver bullit cringe! They called with the estimate numbers today. Allstate just oked the 6400 it'll take to fix it... Surprised me I thought it would be alot more.

my thoughts exactly. does it really save you that much time to type out "that" instead of "dat", or perhaps "back" instead of "bak"??? lets speak english here, good english that is.
