I heard CT stopped making that. Stock holds up well.
Your search turned up dead info cause everything fell through with an aftermarket setup.

My buddy Jae runs a shop here in NJ and is a dealer for clutch masters . I think he has one in stock right now too (clutch / flywheel combo for j32a2 6speed) that he'd sell for a good price probably. If you're interested give him a call or leave a message at 551-265-9251. Tell Jae that Andy sent ya.

Hope that helps...Good luck with your project!
Andy

No It's for the J32A2.... I was considering getting it at one point. It works fine and has gotten great reviews unlike spec which is repainted.

Sirsig if I'm not mistaken runs the CM combo.

you have a CL so you shouldn't have a problem with CM SPEC pressure plates are whack! It's basically OEM painted blue, CM PP has a holding power upto 800-1000 #'s ft of tq, it might be a little exagerated but it sure does the job...

So there are no clutch kits that we can purchase for the CL without having to send a company a stock part so they can fabricate something?

You must not know how to drive a manual. I had a SPEC Stage 3 on my Cobra and was pushing over 600HP at the wheels. The Stage 3 will hold 680HP with the Kevlar disk or carbon disk and the ceramic disk will hold 700HP. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you aren't pushing even 1/2 of that.

you can have them buy it, but that's gonna cost you more...

maybe you can say that because Cobra SPEC doesn't look like stock with paint...

the issue here is not knowing how to drive, its a clutch that holds, the problem here is when i shift gears at high rpm's its slips, its not the driver ,its the Clutch , it slips 1-2 2-3 3-4 4-5, get the picture. As for u using it on ur Cobra and pushing over 600hp good for u at least urs holds. u are judging 2 different motors and setups

My point was that a Stage 3 should be more then enough to hold any kinda power a CL can make, even turbo charged ones. If it's slipping and fairly new, there's some other issue.

Maybe they fucked up and sent him a stage one or somthing. I mean How can you trash talk a company based on one persons word? Can we contact spec and actually get to the bottom of this? I mean why would they paint the stock one and call it a stage 3? Wouldnt the clutch be made out of diff materials? Im not sure my self I could be wrong. Ive used a spec clutch in my mustang and it was perfect and that thing grabbed HARD.

I'm not sure what the issue with the SPEC CL clutch is. SPEC is well respected in the Mustang community and in other car groups. They make great clutches at a good price. Seems funny that they'd just choose CL owners to fuck over with just a repainted stock clutch.

I don't think SPEC is screwing over CL owners. They don't provide holding power numbers for the CL so they aren't mistating anything that I'm aware of. There just aren't any alternative pressure plates that mount up to a stock flywheel yet except SPEC and OEM. It looks like has a pressure plate that can mount to a stock flywheel but it requires that you send them the flywheel so it can be notched. You also loose the self adjusting feature with .

Cobra clutch/pp comes strong out of the factory, so SPEC beefing up the surface make sense why it can hold 800hp. not sure if they make the kit from scratch, but as you can see on the picture, they used CL oem pp and they said they beefed it up. CL pp is not Cobra like... Pinho is not the only one i heard having the same slipping problem, btw...

were are going WAY off topic... i dont care if they painted it or not i could care less what coloure its its Pink, Yellow, Green i was just looking for somthing that works..

Now .. the way i see it is that Spec sold me a Clutch and no flywheel, and its slipping(not Dissing SPEC!!), the reason i see it slipping now is that the Flywheel is a Dual Mass Flywheel from the CLS which the Dual Mass is made for driveability,. now i see why Clutch Masters makes the Clutch and Flywheel combo..

The Spec clutch is a realy good clutch, its just that they need to make a Flywheel Clutch combo, and not just sell the Clutch by itself

i will be taking out the clutch sometime next week and i will be sending it back to Spec so they can solve this issue

Weren't there issues with the CT flywheel cause it was single mass? I thought some people had them explode and pieces break off.

We think that was because a UR under drive pulley was used. Combine that with the light flywheel & the crank position sensor kept breaking.
However nothing was ever proven conclusive because only 1 or 2 members had it.
