Aftermarket Navi

Thinking about getting one for my wife's new Highlander, but don't have much knowledge in this market - hoping to pick some collective brains out there. Model, manufacturer, price, etc.

I've been researching these to but only the portable units. I like the Garmin Streetpilot 2610 so far. About $750-$900. The only downside seems to be that it doesnt run on batteries, only 12v. I was comparing it to the Magellan 500 which is said to be much slower. If youre looking at in-dash units, do a search as there are several that have done those too.
