Aftermarket keys

I know Acura probably want a fortune for there car keys cause they have a chip in them. I was wondering how well an aftermarket one would work. I've seem a couple on E-bay i was considering getting. Done anyone have any experience with these keys, and do they really need to be programmed?

Need to be programmed in order to start the car. You can get a key made from any locksmith, it would just unlock the car, glove box rear storage bin, & trunk pass through.

Not sure if transponder keys from other makes, or from other places other then Acura will work. In any case they would need to be programmed.
