i put in an aftermarket head unit and the sound won't come through the speakers. all the wiring is correct. i used a conversion harness. I even tried the unit in my friend's car and it works fine. could it have something to do with the bose system?

 

bose is your problem, they put out 1 ohm per speaker. Change the speakers to a 4 ohm level and you'll get sound. Take out the stupid amp that hooks up to the speakers too.
