After much debate....

I have taken the plunge and picked up my 2002 Blue CL-S non-navi last night. The CL-S is such a sweet ride. I thought about holding out for the 2003, but the deal I got was too good to pass up. They wanted to get rid of this one before the 03's got there.

Be patient with me, as I am new to all of the mod talk. I am sure that there are some people that will help me spend some of the money I saved by buying the 02 instead of the 03. What is first? a CAI or new stereo? Any help would be appreciated and I look forward to posting on this board. I have lurked for awhile, but now I want to be part of the CL family.

If I had to redo all my mods again, the springs would be the first. Then CAI, then Stereo, then headers, then exhaust, then sways, and pulleys. That's just what I would pick.

What all the transmission problems with the current CL/TL models, perhaps it would be wise to get the 2003 and keep your fingers corss that Acura had fixed up the transmission flaw in the 6 speed MT.

I think I am going to do the CAI first. Seems the cheapest and easiest thing to do first.

I hope the tranny hold out. I think anytime you buy a car it is a crap shoot as to whether it is a lemon or a keeper. IMHO.

Welcome to the CL-S group.

It is amazing how buying a year behind saves you big bucks. I always do that and this time I got lucky as all they had were Navi cars, so I got a deal as well.

The one mod I am glad that I did is adding an amp/sub. Some here have added a Basslink and it is way way way cheaper than the amp/sub separates. Plus, the Basslink seems to be getting good feedback.

My next mod will most likely be a CAI.
