aem v2 is out

but what do you mean your AEM is getting worn? YOu realize the filter will last you for life? You are suppose to be cleaning it.

If it's torn up to bad, you can just buy a new filter for like 30$

it would be absolutely pointless to go get a new one, you won't get anymore gain out of them.

That worries me a bit too. I figured that with occasional filter cleanings I'd be good for life with the AEM. How is yours worn out?

Just if there's any failures, I'd like to know about it - Seems like if the pipes cracked or something, lots of not-so-good-stuff could be sucked into the engine. I've heard about failures with the bypass valve, but none with the intake itself yet.

The intake has only been on the car for about 5k, so I'm just now starting to think about cleaning it. I've heard everything from yoru 4-6k miles, to once/yr to 25-30k miles, but I'll probably check it every 5k and clean it when it's dirty., but at least once/yr

I mentioned this before...it prob felt slower b/c it is! The V2 is a tuned CAI design...by cutting 4"s off you prob messed the gains up.

the pipe diameter is smaller for an accord, isn't it? how could that possibly be beneficial?

where the pipe goes down it rubbed against the metal, so theres a hole, and plus i cut it near the tb for the bypass valve. anyway. yeah..

go to any auto store and find the K&N filters. They have a thing called a recharging kit, it's about 10$. The cleaning instructions are inside
