AEM V2 for type S

Hi guys, I already know that there is no V2 intake system for the manual tranny CL Type S but is there one for the auto tranny ? (...yes, I tried the search button) . I'm asking because a shop in montreal tried to sell me one today (they gave me a price and delivery delay) but I can't see it on AEM website. Are they trying to sell me one for a non Type S version ?....hummm what do you think ?

Simon

P.S. I'm french speaking so please excuse my english ..:P

So what's the difference? What need to be modified? And, any idea what would need to be done to fit a 6MT?

Yes... That is the question. Without the dyno, it’s hard to know if it’s better or worse than the CARB approved AEM cold air intake designed and dyno tested for the CLS.

And, if you're in California, you wouldn't have the proper CARB certification and wouldn't be able to pass the visual part of a smog inspection.

I think you're the first one to put a V2 on a CLS, if you ever get a chance to dyno w/ the reg AEM CAI vs. the V2 you modified, keep us updated. Looks good though, sure hope you're gaining some hp/trq and not losing any.

No dyno sorry! Diden't need to much modifications just cut it a little shorter (3-4 inchs) and bend the mounting bracket took about 15 min to modify and half hour to install. I can't see the differance from what i did and what aem would actually have to to do to make it fit our cars (type s) BTW Thanks Guys!

I did the same thing but I am having trouble fitting the 2.5" coupler over the Throttle body/TC/MA meter. I think I need a 3" coupler.

any help would be great.
