AEM ECU plug n' play for 6 speed cl
I noticed this company modifies the aem ems 2 so it is plug and play for our 01-03 cl 6 speed cars. I just thought some people might be interested. It is pricey though. Hope this hasn't been posted before.
Here is the company/website page with ecu for cl

I Remember civic saying you just have to open the unit up and switch some jumper to Hall sensors.

Here is what civic typed "Along with the sensors you will also need to swap the entire engine harness and wire the gauge cluster and temp sensors to work properly with external signal modifiers. "
I am not good with electronics so not sure I want to try and do that solo without help.
I am undecided if I want the ecu. I am just staying N/A so not really necessary and having to swap back to stock ecu every year to pass emissions does sound annoying.

The AEM isnt tweaking the stock ECU. Nothing has changed with that and never will. The ECU simply cant be rewritten. That is the problem and the need for a standalone.

The piggybacks for the CL have always worked for automatic CLs.
i think he wrote that before he spoke to Paul and was shown that the AEM can be opened up and the jumpers can be switched and it's good to go. No need to switch everything to auto sensors etc. Didn't Civic end up using the AEM himself?

In my opinion is you have enough supporting mods to justify it, full aem ems is the way to go. 2 step launch control and so much more, but I can see how the price is a huge deterrent.

I also read somewhere that the ecu works with the 6 speeds in the end however not seamlessly. Supposedly the the water temp gauge doesn't work properly and the car takes extra cranks to start up. Can anyone confirm this?

I cannot agree that the cl has a limited aftermarket.
Considering it's a luxury coupe that parents bought in the day, I am surprised there is the aftermarket that exists at all for this car.
i was totally surprised I could get all the mods I did for the CL.
yes u can argue the g35 which is very similar had a shit load of aftermarket and so did the 350z... but they were actually sporty cars unlike the CL which is more of a grocery getter..... hate to say
so if u weigh it all out we are pretty lucky we got the support we have. at least that's just what i think.. sure there could be a bunch more goodies but all in all we got a decent amount of options for what the car is.

so why did you buy the cl over the g35...Im thinking about trading my cl for a g35 coupe

Hey guys, Paul's the man.
I've had my CL-S Superchaged since '07 & has sucked w/the piggyback. Ever since I installed the ecu & had it tuned by Sergio @ www.KingsPerformance.com - it's fucking perfect!
No more surging. Ever.

Haa!
Manual of course. Yes, everything works fine. I am super anal & wanted everything to work down to the seat heaters & pass. mirror going down in reverse! Before we did this I made sure that I would not loose 1 amenity.
It's amazing now.

Can you shed some light on how to wire the pass. mirror tilt when in reverse? I lost that function when I swapped my car to 6 speed and till this day can't figure it out!

The things is that everything works perfect & driveability is perfect, something I've missed since installation of the s/c.

Yea, I was in the same boat. Having said that, having a s/c'd Honda & having it NOT surge is one in a million. There would be times that I pull up to a light & you know what happens .... or I'd be taking a chick for a ride & I'd get on it ... surge after surge after surge & it just SUCKED.
Now, it's spot on every single time - no issues.
Almost worth more!

Now that we know the AEM unit is fully functional and in use with RJ's car; if you can swing it, I highly recommend as it allows you to adjust much more than the Emanage system. Specially for the N/A guys...

Emissions has a lot to do with why no one has tried it. It's not that it won't work. We know it will work there are loads of swap cars running it. I just have a hard time believing it's plug and play to work with the manual engine's hall cam/crank sensors.
*IF* it is, then yes- ground breaking progress for the platform. And for the $2000 they're charging, I really hope it works. Care to elaborate R J?

Yes, w/it being a Plug & Play, according to Sergio, all you have to do is revert back to the stock ECU & you should be fine.
Having said that, we do not have testing here in Florida (w00t!) so I, personally, have no clue.

It appears the dyno for his tune (R J Poseidon 6) is included on the link brian6speed provided in his original post, just page down a little below the kit Dezod is selling:
