I don’t like the factory intake on my 03 type s 6 speed, looks like it takes mostly hot air from the engine bay, so I want the aem intake that redirects and pulls air from wheel well. Only thing I’m wondering is if I’ll run the risk of hydro locking my car. I live in the PNW and it rains a lot.

I’m curious if anyone has has anything to say about those aem intakes.

also I’m new to the forum so from doing research I can probably find my question already answered but I can’t figure out how to delete my post.

The factory intake already takes air from the wheel well. Still, I think the AEM intake is a good first upgrade. You won't hydrolock your engine unless you're driving through flooded areas.
