AEM Cold Air Intake - Available Now...

Hi All,

This is my first post so I want to introduce my self. My name is Raymond Lee and I'm a PowerSeller on eBAY. I currently sell lots of stuff including AEM. A few people have emailed me regarding the application from AEM so I always keep a keen interest on this model. My buddy also has a Type S too so he'll be getting it directly from me. I am in the process of finding out the exact details for this Cold Air intake.

Please let me know if you're interested.

Normally, the AEM Cold Air comes in three colors (Silver, Blue, Red), I spoke to AEM this morning that they told me that the Silver is on back ordered already and that the Blue and Red are available in limited supply.

I will find out more information and repost to this message..

FYI: The AEM Cold Air is the industry standard and makes the most power of any intakes. It’s dyno-tested to this fact. I have customers with Integra Type R who told me that it his AEM Cold Air make lots more power on the low end compared with his ICEMAN Cold Air.

We already know about the AEM's availability b/c the guy who runs the other Acura forum sells them....

http://www.acura-cl.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001918.html

Question is, how good of a price do you have? 'Cause honestly...that's what matters most .....

juniorbean,

Thanks for your quick reply and information. As you know, I'm new to this forum..

If you guys want a groupbuy, that's fine with me, but I need to know how many is in and I will based my price from there. Let me find out more information from AEM (availability of the Silver, Dyno chart and etc..)

Welcome.

Everybody else is out of the silver CAI's also... so like junior said...

The most important thing is price...

Also... if you give group buys... then you have an upperhand cuz your closest sales competition on this board doesnt.

But... its important you give us your base price for a single unit.

Also, a dyno chart would probably help you sell a whole hell of a lot more.

Here are your auctions (no Type-S yet):

http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAP...page=1&rows=25

To be frank with you Xephyr is asking $185 for his intake and AEM Bypass Valve.

You are are asking $37 for the BV, so I would like to bid of no more than 185-37=$145 for the AEM CAI, So, that I woould think would competetive!

Hi,

I wish my cost is that low ;-( I'm working to get the dyno chart if AEM could fax me a copy.. I will get the price for a single unit as well as the price for a groupbuy.

Ray, don't come into this board and publicly accuse an active and well-respected member. Whatever your intentions are, take it offline and email him directly.

I don't understand why I would deal with someone on eBay (who has to mark up their price to pay eBay a commission)? I'm not dealing with a "real" store. I think I'll stay with someone hear who is starting up a business directed at the needs of the people on this board.. Quality, complete products at a very nice price.. IMHO..

Ult,
Nicely put. I one don't think one entrepreneur bashing another one on this board publicly is the way to gain any new fans or customers. If the service experience is bad first hand (regardless of selling or buying) take it up the person directly. Ray if you never heard from him you should have taken the initiative to contact him about it.

So far Xephyr has been respectful of others who have chosen other CAI's over his for whatever reasons and hasn't pressed the issue to buy his. He merely provides his info and allows others to purchase.

Now i'm not here to say i wouldn't jump at the chance of an AEM intake w/bi-pass for a good price, but let's keep this civil...nuff said.

Aw man, just when things started to get exciting. C'mon we need a little bit of blood and guts. It makes the board more interesting. .... and next time on the Jerry Springer show, Xephyr claims that RayRay is just his mothers, brothers, fathers, sisters, uncles, cousin, sent to sabotage his business. Nah, Just Kidding.

Spoke to AEM about a few minutes ago, they don't have the Dyno chart available for this application yet. They told me to call them back in a few days.

Could someone fill me in as to what was said? I missed the post that was in question, and I just read the follow-up messages...... In any event, I am genuinely impressed with how everyone took up for me in my absence ! This forum really pleasently surprises me on a regular basis, and even without knowing what was said I appreciate everyone that spoke up and maintained a level of civil discussion. Because I use the Xephyr2K account in a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde manner (I use it personally and as a vendor) I have to practice a certain level of self-restrain when posting. But thanks again guys/gals that chimed in !

BTW: I have not received any email from the individual yet, I just did send him one to inquire as to his issues.
