AEM CAI Help!

Correct me if I am wrong, but is the type-s CAI a 3" pipe with part # 21-419??

I have the 21-416 (for the TL/CL-P) can that be installed? is it a 2.5" pipe?

CL-S is 3" pipe.
Offhand I would guess that if you have the wrong size it will not fit because the rubber tube thing that connects the engine to the Intake pipe wouldn't fit.

as chod stated, the rubber will not fit correctly on the throttle body. i recommend you get the 3". plus you will get more air through the pipe.

3" is what you want. Don't even think about the smaller pipe.

Uh, it's too late for you, but I've added this to my FAQ now. Maybe you can exchange it somehow?

thanks guys,

I took a look at it on the car and there is no way the pipe will fit, (it conflicts with the fender and a mounting bracket is in the way too!

I guess selling/returning it is my only choice...

well, the CL-S 3" AEM CAI is fitting to TL-S... I just installed it on my brothers
TL-S...
I just ordered it for my 98' CL... With a trim off the top of the pipe, it will plug nicely into my stock rubber tubing with the by-pass valve.. cant wait... i'll post pics when it's in...
