Did you relocate the coolant line under the throttle body as illustrated in steps "g" an "h" from http://www.aemintakes.com/instructio...1-509_inst.pdf ?

yes I did step g and h... with the double male adapter they give u in the kit...

as for the idle fluctuation...you either got a vaccume leak or have overlooked something you did in the modding process.

also, unplug ur 7.5 amp fuse by the passenger firewall for 15 sec and see if that changes anything

Thanks for being on top of this thread. You must not get much work done. lol just kidding...I bought this used and recieved only the intake pipe, filter, breather hose and 3 hose clamps, and the soft mount. I know not of this double male adapter you speak of. Pic?

I assume youre reffering to the ECU?

noo.. I mean when connect those lines together you need a piece/fitting which is double male so u can connect both hoses together when going under the intake.

Cause u remove the old metal hose right?? so u need to compensate for that length by going underneath everything and using that piece.

How did you accomplish the install without that piece? did u just use one long hose?

I dont have a camera. I have done pretty much exactly what is laid out by AEM (http://www.aemintakes.com/instructio...1-509_inst.pdf).

Removed metal breather/coolant line. Replaced breather with the 5/8" hose. Did the coolant-line maneuver from steps G and H. It says in step H to rotate and reconnect the coolant line. I wasnt able to rotate it much but I did reconnect by wrapping it around the front. And then I reconnected the other line to the nipple farthest from the manifold, towards left, front wheel. Im pretty sure its right, but I had to reuse hoes clamps which left it not as tight as I'd like.

Drove it all day. Liked it. Only thing is its idling at 1500-2000. Wednesday, Ill have time to look at it. I'll probably just buy new hoses and clamps to configure it better. I'll also need to add a small amount of coolant.

This is the only tool I used:

Cutting the resonator off with a small blade was a bitch.
