Advice on shifting...

Well guys:

I have nearly 200 miles on the car -- i'm anxiously awaiting the 600 mile mark and especially the 1000 mile mark.

Be honest with me -- how soon did those of you who bought brand new CL-S models wait until you revved high and floored the car?

Another question, on downshifting: I noticed that on my TL-S, I can drop to 2nd gear while crusing at 60 mph!! The TL model can't do this! Can the CL-S? I never tried when I was test driving the CL-S. Is this "ok" for the transmission?? I notice that it has that Buick Regal Supercharged feel to it and a silky smooth power advance when I drop to 2nd in 65 and mash it -- I can nearly slip past anything (minus a manual M3).

Last question: When dragging someone, when do I shift, and how do I squeeze the best performance outta my stock Type S?

Thanks in advance, Type S rules!!!!!

Why do you say you have one of the faster CL-S's? Have you compared your stock CL-S to another stock CL-S before you mod-ed your car?

Very interested to know...

What track time. I saw his dynos and they didn't look that hot. Mike's were much better.

Amen!

Yep, kind of reminds me of people who say they are the smartest. That is until they run into someone smarter.

(Perhaps a change to "seems to be one of the fastest" is in order...)
