Unhappy Adding to the death toll of CLs...

Haven't been on this forum much lately...been busy with the business I started. But here's the story... Unfortunately, about 2 weeks ago me and my wife were broadsided by some idiot who was high/drunk at 1 in the afternoon. We were en route to my wife's prenatal clinic, as she is pregnant at this point. Thankfully, there have been no adverse effects to our baby at this point (knock on wood). Since, however, he broadsided me on the driver's side I am enduring pain to my lower back, left shoulder and leg and endured a bruised kidney. I'm working with an attorney who has already had me going to physical therapy, but am very inconvenienced by all this crap. So much affection I have for my poor Claire and now she's going to be gone, as they have said it will most likely be a total loss. I feel like Al Bundy when his Dodge died...

Here's the damage...

Noooooooooo, not an Anthracite. Hope you get better as I know you're still nursing injuries and hope the wife remains in good condition. Looks like the door did a pretty good job absorbing the impact all things considered.

All these accidents make me not want to drive this 4th of July weekend.

Thanks brotha. Appreciate it. And yeah, the door protected us pretty well. Considering the manner in which I was hit I think my injuries are minor to moderate.

Just drive carefully man...a lot of people out there don't care about the safety of others so you've got to care for yourself!

Sorry to hear that man. Did the driver of the car that hit you get arrested at least?

Thanks. And nope...cops didn't seem interested. He threw away a bottle right after he jumped out of the car and put a baggy in some bushes and hosed himself down, which I pointed out to the officers, but they didn't show any interest for some reason.

Sorry to hear about your injuries. Happy to hear it wasn't any worse as it could easily have been. I can imagine how I would be considering I my fiance is up to 7 months pregnant.

Sad also to see one less, Anthracite on the road. I guess your gonna have to get the NSX afterall. Whenever your recovered start selling parts, hopefully that helps. There are still a few CL's out there including 6 speeds.

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the responses, I really do.

Bazla, for sure man, my first thought was my wife and my baby and how this idiot endangered them both with his negligence. But thankfully they're both ok.

atthegates, see above

And yes yes guys, I'd love to get the NSX, but unfortunately that's gonna have to be shelved in favor of an MDX or TL in the mean time...

Good news is there will be a part out as soon as I get confirmation. Who wants a CT Supercharger with brand new oil?

Well I won't discuss that on this thread but keep a look out in the BM, as soon as I hear a confirmation it'll all go on sale.

Thanks. But jeez that sucks. I'm grateful we came out ok but did you at least get a good settlement from that accident? That's horrible when an accident like that leaves long lasting repercussions...

Wow, looks like the CL did its job as best as it could protecting you. And yes, count your lucky pennies he wasn't coming in from the other side.

and of course the obvious, sue the living hell out of him.
