ACURAZINE CAR OF THE MONTH

We finally got what we were asking for

• This will consist of the first 15 days of submitting cars for Car Of The Month. At the end of the first 15 days we will begin the judging, and of course judging will be performed by the members of the forum with a one time vote via a poll. At the end of the 15 days the submission thread will be locked and a new thread will be made available with the voting poll.

• Car Of The Month winner, will receive some sort of recognition (title/badge under the username, maybe their car featured on the home page... although I cant promise anything ) however, it is currently undecided what will take place for the winner.

• Car Of The Month judging will take place the month before the winner is announced. (October judging will determine Novembers winner, where the November winner will carry the badge for the entire month of November)

• MurkyRiversTL will make the month submission threads and sticky them so they can be found easily. Lets keep this forum clean and on topic

eh we all know this will be a 3rd gen Tl lovefest why even post in 2nd gen. No 2nd gen's will get car of the month even if they dump 30 grand in the car.

Shit is fucked with my car as well man but I try and keep it in my thread, just sayin.
Nothing against you I just felt like it needed to be said.

Also there is a gorgeous 1st gen CL that is up and it has just as good a chance of winning if not better IMO

 

 

has nothing to do about my car, just being realistic. I found out about my rusted fender in june not like I have been complaining since then, just brought it up this week.

If you go to any acura meets you will know that they are basically just 3g tl meets. Also, for example, when i went to the national acura meet, supposedly the awards were for any acura, but guess who won them. The 3rd gen Tl's. On the trophies they handed out it said national TL meet, not national Acura meet. Only ppl who care about 2nd gens are second gen owners.

I like the idea of car of the month just dont expect to see any Cl's on the list.

 

Like I have mentioned before. This is a new feature that is willing to make adjustments to please the masses. If it turns out that the 34G's are dominating, then we will make it specific by model every month. One month CL's, next month Tl's and so on...... Its not a popularity contest its a unique car contest. And its judges by the members of acurazine, not just the 3g members.... all members.

 

It might be to late for this suggestion but, so that all the people would think they had there fair chance,the contest should start in every generation of every model then all winners from those go again for the overall title.
That way people will not feel like Brian

 

That would take entirely too long for a car of the month to be determined. It woudl leave 5 days for submissions then five days for judging, then those winners to go to another thread for the car of the month judging. Its too many steps.

Lets see how it works for the first couple months and if needs to be changed, it can be.

First COTM winner - Synth19 (did you think anything OTHER then a sick ass NSX would win??)

From there on - 3G, 3G, 3G, 3G, that black 4G with the RJ grill, 3G, 3G, 3G....

If anyone has a shot at winning COTM from the CL side, its Brian Lin, but I haven't seen him post in a while and I know he was parting out his car.

Its a cool feature and offers some competitiveness here. My bike forums has BOTM and its fun to participate in.

See civic sees what i am saying. The CL just isn't a popularity contest winner. Personally i like the CL better because of it and that it is more rare to see. The 3g on the other hand is the popularity king and that actually turns me off from wanting the car, nothing unique or special when you see 10-15 per day.

I honestly dont think his nsx will be the first COTM even tho it is the best Acura on here. People want to see their car model featured not a car they dont have and can only dream about, so I think 3g Tl will get em all.

It will be interesting to see if me or civic is right tho. If not i will admit i was wrong and you can throw tomatoes at me.

yea ur cl is hot i would post it one of the months. I am waiting till next year when my car is really modded to submit it. Got alot in the works.

 

Thats the whole point of COTM. To get members more involved with their Acura's, more creative pictures, stepping out of the normal mods and doing something unique.

I cant wait to see what you have in store for your CL

 

Cmon guys, vote for diddys car. Lets show them the redheaded stepchild of the Acura family (the CL, if you havent noticed) can still do it. Right now hes tied for first with that damn 3rd gen. We just need him in the top three to get him to the next round!!!

 

That rally isnt the point of car of the month. If that were the case, the 3rd gen TL would win every time due to the sheer volume of members that own a 3g TL.

This is intended for the members of the forum to show appreciation for all the models of Acuras. If your honest opinion that p.diddy's car is the best looking, then great vote for him. But gathering everyone up to vote for the model that they own isnt how this is supposed to go.

Obviously I cant make you change your mind, but I would expect the members of the forum to vote for the car that they feel deserves car of the month not because they have the same model.

I just voted for p.diddy. I agree that everyone should vote for their favorite and not for what they personally own but I really want a CL to win the first one lol. I really like Blazing GT's RL also.
