Acurate price for used '01 CLS

Somebody I know is looking at a '01 CLS Black/Ebony 38,000 miles and a price of $22,995 with an extended for $500.

What do you think of this price?

I will rather see if someone on the forum wants to sell his/her 6-speed 2003 at a really good price.

I just bought an 01 CL-S with 30,000 miles certified pre-owned for 22,995. Has an extra 12 month 15,000 mile warranty on top of factory warranty.

4 brand new tires too.

Is the cls you are looking at certified pre owned or from a private party? navi or non navi?

That price is a little high IMHO, especially with all that mileage.

I've seen 01 w/ about 40-50K going for 17-18K.

It might depend on area you were getting it. things like color, navi, miles ...make a car worth more or less. For example black with black S/navi will cost more than a copper with black S/navi.

According to kbb, 22.9 is about right for used car retail, but I'd make sure they shave at least a g if possible. It's not certified, so I'd try to get less.

When I went to kbb.com, 38,000 was the number that was in the mileage text box...and personally, I thought 12/13,000 a year was average. Though, I did just buy a 1gen 99 with 40 even ( about three months ago ), so your friend should make his or her own determination.
