AcuraCare 7year 100k, $o deductible for $1200?

Hey guys I have an 01 CL with 42k on it, and I plan on keeping the car until 100k or so. I am planning on purchasing an extended warranty and this was the best price that I found. What do you guys think about this deal.

My theory is that $1200 to ensure that i will have this car be trouble free for 3 more years is worth gold. My only concern is that since my car is lowerd, intake exhaust, that htey might have issues later with it. I have a good realtionship with my service advisor and they have never really given me problems.

Any advice guys?

Cost on those is about $1000. I think it is worth it, if you don't know anyone working for Acura.

That's the plan I have. To me, it's worth it. My last car, the extended warranty paid for itself plus more.

I have had my car out of warranty for 4 month, and already paid $350 for a bad wheel bearing.
I keep counting my total expenses in the next 3 years, see if they exeed $1000

When did you purchase it though? The closer you come to 4 year or 50,000 miles, the prices increase.

How many miles do you have right now? They give you up to 56K to buy the extended warranty.

I'm buying mine today or tomorrow. I'm at 49950 right now.

I have 42K miles. The warranty gets more expensive the older your car gets, for me to get a warranty right now would cost at least $1200, the best way to get it at a time you buy a car, then you can get it for 800-900.
I am going to take my chances, so far I spent $350 on after warranty repairs.
Lets see if I will spend more than $1000 on repairs in the following 3 years.

The quality of our cars is sh*t, so maybe warranty is a good idea.

I have taken mine in for warranty work a couple times and had no problem. For me $1255 is a small price to pay for piece of mind. I drive a lot, and the last thing I need to to worry about my car. I had the sensors for the SRS replaced twice and that alone would have been about $500 without the warranty. I have also had the engine mounts and struts replaced all under warranty. It's worth it. Just my

Is it safe to buy these over the internet? There are a few sites that sell them. They claim they are Honda warranty's. Did anyone buy them this way as the delaer wants way more. I'd buy one for $1000 - $1100. Dealer wants $2000.

I found this site that supposedly sells genuine factory warranties - <hondaacurawarrantiesatspringfieldmotorcars.com> . Anyone do it this way or hear of them? They make a nice pitch and the price is good.

If I was going to spend money on extended warranty, I will go with Acura Care Extended warranty. We don't even have to call them if the warranty is under $500! Most aftermarket warranty need approval and we have to fight with them over little stuff. I have replace a leaky ABS unit and they won't approve a high pressure hose. I have also replace head gasket only without machining heads, just remove the head and slide a new one on. :0 Reseal power steering rack without bellow boots and etc. If it was Acura Care Extended warranty we won't have that problem and you will have got the problem fixed the right way! humm that is if you got a semi-decent tech.

Don't even bother purchasing it - it's a waste of money! Don't forget that you purchased Honda quality. I have 107.5K on mine and nothing has broken outside the original warranty. The only worry is the tranny which is covered to 100K anyway .......
