I’ll admit that Neil’s car looked GREAT and he deserved the win, but all the complements I got from HUNDREDS of attendee’s were all the reward I needed that day.
Yes, the smoke from the big commercial grills blew right over my car and Scooters and it left thousands of grease dots on our cars.
I had an award winning shine at 11AM, but was left with a greasy MESS when the cars were judged after lunch.

Oh well….

That NSXNEXT.....didnt he win the Zaino off and never even used the stuff..If I remember correctly he said he paid some guy from the street to wash and wax the car I think with Turtle wax. I dont know how he pulled of that victory but it sure was entertaining.

Why were you guys wearing helmets??? Are those required with sub-15 second cars? I thought most places only required helmets if you have a 13 second car.

My last trip to e-town for a show mentioned anyone driving under 12 seconds was required to wear a helmet, but nothing about all racers. Maybe it is sanctioned races or something?

What is that crap? Oh, well...I guess I'll have to borrow one from my buddy. I wish I had a 13-second car, cuz then I would need a helmet at the track up here.

hey Pete, you're getting there, a helmet might be in your future. If my helmets are legit, I'll bring both of them for you me and Fred.

Can we wear Snell 95 motorcycle helmets at Etown? I know they don't allow those for autoX anymore since they aren't flame resistant.

I'm definitely in. I'd make the hike from Baltimore up to E-Town. I'm sure I could gather some other MD owners to make the hike up there.

Not really necessary. When I went down I gave them my driver's license and $5 and I had one to use for the day. I actually don't remember the exact price... but it was cheap.
