Eh, they merely went from better to good. Most other dealerships don't give loaners even for warranty work (or at least they try not to, coming up with bullshit excuses).

Well, my dealer provides a free loaner if I ask for it at the time I make the appointment.

All they ask is that I return it with the same amount of gas that it had when I picked it up.

I hope the idea of charging doesn't spread.

Acura dealers seem to be more generous than others, though. Maybe we've been paying too much.

which dealership? Bell Acura??

Scottsdale Acura has "free" loaners but they charge a $7.50 fee for processing, regardless how long you keep the car. When they replaced my tranny, I had a loaner for 4 days and I only had to pay that fee. Bell Acura's loaners are completely free though, from what I've heard.

EDIT: oops, just realized you're in Phoenix, *NY* not *AZ*, doh!!

I can drop my car off on a Tuesday night around 6, pick up a loaner, keep it over night, drive it to work, etc the next day, and then pick my car up later.
