i am having a problem trying to get a loaner car. i was wondering if it is required by acura to provide loaner cars for the customer or is it a dealer by dealer basis. any info would be appreciated

depeneds for what? like to replace a transmission or just regualr maintaince?? for big jobs they may give you a loaner. it also depends if they have any available. if not, they could get you a rental elsewhere. but basically it all depends on whats being done.

If the car is going to be in the shop for more than a day they should give you a loaner. Mine was only in for an afternoon and they gave me one because I requested one ahead of time. I called around, and it seems like some do and some dont. Most times the dealership you bought your car from will give you a free loaner if you take it there for service.

well from i know is that they won't give u an acura loaner if you under 21........... but i took my car in last week for a new tranny which takes more then a week.... i told my service advisor that i need a car to good school and stuff so they end up renting me a car from enterprise............. so which means if they dun give u an acura loaner u can always go ask them for a rental car.......

I get a loaner for everything at my dealer, from warranty work all the way down to an oil change.
Lehigh Valley Acura.
I do have to schedule it a few weeks out though.
Example: I called on Wednesday (Oct 13th) to schedule for State Inspection, Emissions & oil change.
First available car was Nov 2nd.

As long as the service is going to be at least 2 hours, they always offer it.

There's no set Acura policy. It just depends on the dealer. Some do loaners, some do rental cars. Some do nothing.

Park Ave. Acura in NJ gives me a loaner every time for any kind of service no matter how small. As long as I request it when I make my service appointment.

Like stated above this varies from dealer to dealer.
