took my car to another dealer and test drove it with the technician , they immediatly brought me another brand new CL-s to test drive , and he also hooked up a computer and saw when the solenoid was swtiching on . and a bunch of other stats while we were test driving it .
he said he hasnt seen the actuator thing move while the car wastn in gear . we tried the new one and it didnt switch on either.

What is your build date? Maybe Acura changed the software so the actuator does not funciton in Park or N?

Sounds like the new dealer has a much better service department

Hate to tell you -- I can feel mine work at around 4100 RPM in park with my wife pushing the throttle.

BTW -- any electronic diagnostics WOULD NOT be able to detect the actual movement of the cable or the movement of the actuator. Just 'cause I push a light switch doesn't mean the light bulb is NOT burned out -- get it?

That's crap....
I have one of the later CLS (#36615) and I can verify that the actuator moves while in PARK!

Thats right as the example with the bulb illustrates. The actuator might turn the cable but is the cable opening the 2nd intake?

Someone should videotape the IMRC in action and tape it with sound. The CLS makes a distinct click and then what resembles a blowoff valve when the pedal is release at that RPM and then show it to the dealers. CHOD????

That's the truth! That thing will flick and click. There is no missing it either if you have your head over the engine while it being rev'd past 3,800 or so. So go back and kick some azz.

If you have a volt meter hooked up to the circuit that the bulb is in and you push the light switch and the bulb is out. Then there will not be any current thru the circuit. GET IT? Come on man.....

Yeah.......it requires no tools or any bo-bo light bulbs and such. Oh boy I'm tired now, going under my desk to that 4 star hotel room and take a nap.

Yah, that's a cool idea. I don't have any decent equipment to digitize a movie with sound, however. If someone has a digicam with audio, and would record the actuator actuating, then I'll be glad to host the file and add it to the FAQ.
