Actuator????

How can you tell if it's broken?
What are the syptoms?

You can see it working or not.. I just checked mine this afternoon. I could not hear/feel the transition because of the the heat. So, I pulled and checked it. it is working.

Your car is slower.

If you know were it is, you can get someone to rev it a see if it flips. There has been many post about this. Check the FAQ.

when you go through the gears, each one takes longer to pass, and the horsepower diminishes as the rpm rise. check the valve behind the engine as someone else rises to 4000 rpm and beyond, it should open.
