AC10 up on the Autobahn

I have recently been re located to Germany and decided to bring along the CL-S. I must say, rolling down the Autobahn at 120 without worrying about the fuzz is a BLAST! What I want to know is, driving as we are allowed to here in Germany, is there any suggestions that will help the "AC" make it back to the States in good running condition. i.e. how often should I change the oil; will Honda (since there is no Acura dealers in Germany) honor my warrantee...I'm a little worried about the transmission problems that everyone is having. Any other advise you’ all can give will be most helpful. I must say, so far the Type-S (no mods) is holding it's own in the BMW; Mercedes land…

Another question, what brand/grade oil should I use for the type of driving I'll be doing over here.
Thanks and I look forward to your advice

You shipped your A-CL to Deutschland??? How much did that cost??? And is it legal to drive it over there? I always thought there were a lot of problems w/ driving a car from another country.

So what do the Deutsche people think about your car? It's got to be the only CL over there right? Have you taken it to a Honda dealership yet? I bet they were like in the world is this...

I can't answer your oil question, but you should definitely stick to the 3000 mile/3 month interval. The recommended is 7500 miles I believe.

Tschus...

The cost to ship it was free... I'm in the Air Force so Uncle Sam shipped it for me.
There's no problem driving foreign vehicles here, I even saw an Echo today, so you can bring most any car here.

I haven't found the Honda dealer yet, but I will be finding one and getting it there in a couple of days.

I always get second looks as I drive around the neighborhoods, especially after a good wash job. You know how black cars are, when there clean, there awesome and when there dirty, well...

Since I’ll be driving it so hard, (if your not driving at least 100 mph, it seems as though you're in the way) I was thinking about changing the oil every 2000.

I do all I can to stay under 100 mph, but that seems so slow on the autobahn ...never thought I would have that problem.

It does not matter.. how the rpm in 5th at 120 MPH? some 4k rpms do not worry ....use Mobil 1 and run it for like 5kmiles.

I was just over 100 this morning and the RPMs were just under 3000. It may be my imagination; the transmission seems to sporadically shift at slower speeds. Hope it'd not the beginning of something major, especially over here in Germany.
