Hey my ac is working but it is making a hissing sound. The sound cycles on and off pretty steadily any ideas?

 

Sounds like a low charge....

Hissing? That's normal. Happens each time the compressor cycles.
Now if the compressor is cycling non stop, fast with no long breaks in between then that's a low charge which means you have a leak.

 

I assume you meant what fuzzy said. Fast on/off cycles.

 

yea exactly what fuzzy said. There is barely a break inbetween no longer than 10 seconds. Any ideas on getting it fixed

 

Well, there's a leak somewhere. it's a pressure system. If it's low on freon , then it's leaking out. Likely a O ring from somewhere. You'll have to get it leak tested. There's a Dye that's added & will leak out from wherever the leak is & should be easy to spot.
from there fix the leak & recharge.
